Description

  • Effectively and safely perform required laboratory and quality control testing as required by with a focus on safety, quality, production, and cost goals in a high speed, product manufacturing facility

  • Perform quality and sanitation checks while managing technical processes

  • Assume supplemental responsibilities or tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • 4 year degree in Science or related field of study with focus on microbiology, chemistry preferred; other science based discipline (computer, mathematics, engineering) accepted

  • 1 year experience in laboratory work and quality protocols preferred; may replace with Brewing/Packaging experience in a brewery;

  • Understand and communicate policies and standard operating procedures as they relate to quality operation and testing

  • Ability to operate laboratory instruments and perform basic instrument maintenance

  • Strong technical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

  • Solid interpersonal skills and team orientation.

  • Understanding of the brewing and packaging process, HACCP and Good Manufacturing practices for food manufacturing a plus

  • Able and willing to work any shift, including day / afternoon rotation, and required weekends and holidays

  • Willing to work mandatory overtime as required
