The Info Cell team supports the analytical and development needs for the Commercial/Sales team at Anheuser-Busch. The support that the function provides the business includes wholesaler and retailer pricing, sales planning and reporting, competitive analysis, and wholesaler (WOD) business services.

The Brand Health Data Analyst, Commercial Sales will be responsible for conducting quantitative, causal (regression), and statistical analysis on our brands, in an effort to drive top line growth. You will be working on extracting large data sets, manipulating the data into meaningful metrics and putting the data into an easy to use dashboard for the end user.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain current and forecasted views of alcohol brands by providing quantitative analyses of statistically significant causal variables. Recommend brand priorities for the 1-yr and 3-yr plans to maximize volume and share positions. Organize and align consumer research and economic data sources and create efficient data structures.

  • Improve and support routine management processes related to Commercial Performance Review reporting. Increase the accuracy and timeliness of industry and A-B brand performance measurement and outlook to Senior Management.

  • Provide ad hoc development and support of forecasting tools, numerous analyses and projects, including new product forecasting and related sensitivities, 3-year Plan.

  • Track forecast accuracy and associated KPI targets. Ensure Service Level Agreements with clients are being met.

  • Consistently look for opportunities to streamline processes and standardize reporting, including automation of reports.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, and Statistics, Computer Science or IT-related or Bachelor ’s degree in Business with a minor in one of the above concentrations preferred. MBA or Master’s degree with a strong quantitative emphasis is a plus.

  • Sales, research, or financial analysis experience within consumer products industry or optimization and forecasting in commercial or logistics planning or similar is a plus. Understanding of causal components of consumer demand, hypotheses testing, and Lean Six Sigma achievements are relevant attributes and experiences.

  • Strong SQL programming skills. Experienced in extracting and manipulating large (hundreds of thousands of rows) datasets and spreadsheets, utilizing advanced Excel (including VBA), and object oriented programming (Visual Basic, .NET). SAS programming skills and solid technical skills across wide variety of tools and data platforms, including forecasting software, a plus. Experienced applying statistical analyses to large datasets and summarizing/communicating using strong presentation tool skill set (e.g. PowerPoint).

  • History of successfully prioritizing and managing multiple critical projects simultaneously and completing them in a timely manner with extreme accuracy.

  • Demonstrated qualities of team-orientation, aggressive self-starting, risk averseness, ownership and reputation as the subject matter expert and go to person, alignment with workplace culture and environment, helpfulness, selflessness.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to draw relevant and insightful conclusions and communicate them with professional polish.
