Sr. Tax Analyst
The Senior Tax Analyst will be involved in all aspects of the domestic income tax operations including data collection, compilation, and analysis as it concerns corporate income tax accounting and compliance. This position will assist the tax managers in day-to-day operations of the domestic income tax function.
Preparation of federal and state corporate/partnership income tax returns
Coordination and review of partnership returns prepared by outside consultants.
Preparation of monthly/quarterly/annual income tax provisions for multiple reporting groups.
Preparation of quarterly/annual book to tax differences.
Preparation of federal and state estimated income tax payments and extensions.
Provide support for federal and state income tax audits.
Work with local controllers to gather tax return/tax provision information.
Work with outside consultants and advisors on special projects.
Involvement in other miscellaneous projects including monthly cash tax monitoring, tax planning implementation, tax basis balance sheets, and maintenance of partnership tax basis schedules.
Recommends tax savings ideas by reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised tax laws.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years federal and/or state experience with CPA firm or corporate tax department.
Strong computer skills and knowledge of MS Office and tax research tools; OneSource Income Tax/OneSource Tax Provision experience a plus.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects and complete on timely basis.
